Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is an Mexican American journalist. She works as an ESPN news anchor and hosts SportsNation at times. She began her career at ESPN in 2016. Her mother is TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual since the time she turned nine. The ability that helped her get her first position as a Univision producer assistant Miami. In Miami, she worked with the producers of National shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Her next job was as a Sports Reporter at CBS St. Petersburg. CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. In 2009, she moved to Texas in the Rio Grande Valley where she was a news reporter at KNVO TV 48 Univision. In 2009, she relocated to Rio Grande Valley in Texas and became a reporter for KNVO 48 Univision and Fox2 News. She was also often asked to fill in as an anchor for weather and sports. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate, where she was able to take on other responsibilities. She reported on all of the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. She also produced Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra and was the anchor. She was a host of sports for the morning show on Despierta America Deportes. In the same capacity for the network's magazine show Primer Impacto and for UniMas Network's Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins' grandparents were born in Veracruz Mexico. They eventually settled in Mexico City and she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. Also, she has a younger sibling. In 1992, the family left Mexico for the US and eventually settled in Miami. In 1992, her parents divorced then shortly thereafter in 1995 she was remarried Fabio Fajardo, a naval engineer who died in 2006 after suffering from kidney cancer. The couple stayed in Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime, where she had been provided with an opportunity to work. Antonietta had just graduated high school but already knew what she was going to accomplish. Then she fell in love with the school. The university offered her major. She completed her schooling and was accepted into the University as a major in media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor and managing director at WRMU (91.1 FM) which was where she felt at home. He inspired her to be self-confident and his enthusiasm for journalism deeply influenced her. She, determined to fulfill his standards and never let him down.
